Job summary

Saladin Pump & Equipment in Beaumont, TX, is seeking a hands-on leader to run and improve the daily operations of our service shop. You will supervise technicians and machinists, troubleshoot difficult repairs, review tear-downs, and ensure work meets OEM standards with safety and quality at the forefront.

You’ll partner with RC, RE, SSS, and Sales Engineers to align repair scopes, parts, and timelines while coaching the team and maintaining credible technical leadership in a busy repair

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience repairing and rebuilding industrial pumps.
• Familiarity with multiple pump types (centrifugal, ANSI/API, vertical turbine, split-case, positive displacement, air-operated diaphragm).
• Experience with rotating equipment such as gearboxes, blowers, mixers, and similar machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and repair documentation.
• Manual machining experience (lathe, mill, boring mill, VTL) is a plus; knowledge of 480V three-phase motors is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Run the day-to-day shop operation, including pump rebuilds, rotating equipment repair, and machining work.
• Lead the team and uphold standards for quality, pace, safety, and accountability.
• Set priorities and manage repair schedules, shop workload, and throughput.
• Review tear-downs, repair plans, and completed work to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Step in on tougher jobs to support troubleshooting and rebuild work.
• Collaborate with RC, RE, SSS, and Sales Engineers to align scopes, parts, and timelines.
• Communicate with customers regarding job status, timelines, and issues as needed.
• Coordinate with internal teams on parts, outside services, and vendors to keep jobs moving.
• Keep the shop organized, efficient, and on schedule; maintain a strong safety culture.
