Job summary

WovenWorks in the Dallas area is seeking a hands-on Prototype Design Specialist to develop high-quality physical prototypes, models, and mockups for packaging and product development. This role blends industrial design, modelmaking, fabrication, and prototyping in a busy lab environment.

You’ll work with 2D/3D printing, CAD, hand fabrication, finishing, painting, thermoforming, and other techniques while supporting lab operations and ensuring quality, accuracy, and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 2–5+ years of experience in industrial design, modelmaking, prototyping, fabrication, or a related field.
• Strong hands-on experience with physical modelmaking and fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Build high-quality physical prototypes, models, and mockups based on design concepts, CAD, and artwork.
• Operate and support 2D and 3D printing, rapid prototyping, and fabrication processes.
• Perform hand fabrication, assembly, finishing, painting, and color matching.
• Support thermoforming, casting, and other fabrication processes as required.
• Translate design intent into accurate, production-ready physical prototypes.
