Job summary

Speedwell Construction, Inc. is seeking a motivated Project Engineer to join the project management team on our commercial construction projects. You will work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, architects, engineers, and owners from planning through closeout.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic understanding of computers and technology.
• Valid driver's license.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• OSHA 10-hour certification preferred.
• Experience with construction tech tools (Bluebeam/Viewpoint/Revit/MS Project) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the submittal process and prepare, track, and maintain RFIs.
• Review and work with drawings, specifications, contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, and other project documentation.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, suppliers, architects, and engineers.
• Solicit subcontractor and supplier pricing for change-order work.
• Assist with subcontractor and vendor buyout for assigned scopes of work.
• Help resolve scope, drawing, and document coordination questions.
• Maintain organized and current digital drawing sets and project information.
• Support project-specific safety planning and jobsite documentation.
• Take ownership of project closeout documentation and deliverables.
• Visit active construction sites for meetings, coordination, and inspections.
