Job summary

Pelican Products in Ontario, CA is seeking a Team Leader I to supervise production associates and sustain safe, on-time manufacturing. You will coordinate people, materials, equipment, and priorities on the floor, drive daily goals, coach teammates, and support Lean initiatives to improve safety, quality, and productivity.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, at least 6 months of leadership or related experience, and hands-on comfort with production processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least 6 months of experience leading, training, mentoring, or directing others.
• Experience in manufacturing, production, or warehouse ops.
• Ability to train others and provide clear direction and feedback.
• Hands-on with production processes and power tools.
• ERP experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily production activities and direct workflow to meet safety, quality, and production goals.
• Train, coach, and cross-train team members across production processes and equipment.
• Monitor production performance, identify barriers, and resolve issues with the team.
• Coordinate staffing and labor coverage during breaks and downtime.
• Support production start-ups, process controls, and changeovers.
• Ensure standard work, quality requirements, and safety procedures are followed.
• Coordinate material flow to prevent delays.
• Provide ongoing feedback and communicate performance concerns.
• Support Lean and continuous improvement activities.
• Initiate and track maintenance work orders and escalate issues.
