Job summary

Cardinal Scale Manufacturing Co. seeks a Production Supervisor to lead production and quality, with hands-on depth in soldering, assembling, and programming electrical components. This role oversees the department and is responsible for performance management and hiring.

Preferred candidates have 5–8 years in production, and a Bachelor’s degree in Operation Management or Industrial Engineering. Hours are Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with potential overtime based on needs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a production environment.
• Ability to read prints and schematics, with an understanding of blueprints, soldering, wiring, and checking products to ensure each part conforms to specifications.

Responsibilities

• Ensure effective employee relations and provide employee coaching / development.
• Make employment decisions and resolve employee issues through problem resolution.
• Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale to achieve positive results and continuously improve.
• Manage departmental performance measures, including visual controls, and provide regular progress reports to the Plant Manager.
• Manage the assembly of electrical components following predetermined methods and specifications, including the use of force measuring instruments.
• Manage the process of soldering, de-solder, repair, and replace malfunctioning components.
