Job summary

The Advanced Manufacturing Company of America is recruiting hands-on Production Operations Interns to help keep tens of thousands of components moving monthly on factory floors and in the protoshop.

You will machine, test, and assemble parts, using your learnings to improve processes and impact output and quality. Work on the shop floor with machinists and engineers, embracing real projects that sharpen skills and deliver tangible results.

Qualifications

• Experience with CNC Machining, EDM, grinding, or heat treatment in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and apply GD&T principles.
• Hands-on shop floor experience and adaptability to fast-paced projects.

Responsibilities

• Translate engineering drawings into machinable work instructions with DFM feedback.
• Engage with machinists and design teams to support tooling and process improvements.
• Collaborate with test engineers to support MIL-STD environmental aerospace tests.
• Commission new equipment and bring capabilities to the prototyping shop.
• Develop internal software tools with the software team to improve shop-floor operations.
• Identify pain points and document practical solutions to improve throughput.
