Job summary

Qualifications

• Read and understand the job discrete pick list and ensure compliance on the assigned line.
• Fill in required data on exception reports and any pack/inspection sheets.
• Adhere to Silgan safety policies and participate in safety/quality meetings.
• Maintain housekeeping in assigned areas and report hazards.
• Operate or monitor line equipment to start/stop/reset jams when needed.

Responsibilities

• Trim, inspect and pack containers or parts on line 1.
• Take the 95-gallon trash cans to the compactor and return them.
• Inspect and pack bottles on assigned lines and in rework areas.
• Monitor production for quality defects and inform supervisor of issues.
• Apply tickets to finished packages and ensure proper labeling.
• Read and follow the pick list and ensure line compliance.
• Complete data on exception reports and pack/inspection sheets.
• Complete housekeeping duties in areas of responsibility.
• Report safety hazards and participate in monthly safety meetings.
• Follow all safety policies and contribute to quality initiatives.
• Empty reject bins and grind scrap as necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
