Job summary

Millennium Galvanizing in Louisiana is seeking a Production Support Technician to perform general labor, move steel and materials, and support production. Prior forklift or warehouse experience is preferred and you may operate cranes or trucks.

You must read work orders, carry tools, and maintain regular attendance. The role may require overtime and involves exposure to dust, noise, and outdoor conditions.

Qualifications

• Prior forklift and/or warehouse background preferred.
• Knowledge of basic hand tools.
• Clear Motor Vehicle Report.
• Regular, reliable attendance is required.
• Production Support Technician may be required to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs.
• Move steel or other materials to and from production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, or containers, by hand or using trucks, cranes, or other equipment.
• Sort cargo before loading and unloading.
• Load and unload cargo.
• Carry needed tools or supplies from storage or trucks and return them after use.
• Be able to read a tape measure.
