Job summary

Las Vegas Defense Manufacturing in Las Vegas seeks a Mechanical Engineering Manager/Production Manager to own day-to-day production on the floor. You will build the schedule, release work orders, assign technicians, and report output against LRIP targets across three product lines.

You will hire and train technicians, verify builds against documented procedures, and supervise the shift to uphold quality. This role is hands-on and on-site, with NDA and security requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace, manufacturing, or industrial engineering.
• Approximately 1 to 2 years of post-graduate experience in a manufacturing, production, or hardware environment.
• Genuinely hands-on: comfortable reading drawings and working on the floor with hardware.
• Organized under pressure with the judgment to hold a quality line when schedules push.
• U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Daily production execution: build the daily/weekly schedule, release work orders, assign technicians, and track output against targets.
• Technicians: hire, onboard, and train the production technician team; validate against procedures before live lots.
• Quality on the floor: coordinate with QA to hold inspection points and drive nonconformances to closure.
• Floor readiness: assist outfitting of the facility, tooling, layout, materials, and 5S/safety.
• Continuous improvement: run time studies and feed issues back to engineering for future revisions.
