Job summary

KLA Milpitas is seeking a Product Development Engineering Intern to join a multidisciplinary team working on next-generation Critical Dimension (CD) metrology systems for semiconductor manufacturing. You will gain hands-on experience in instrumentation, product development, and system characterization.

The role involves supporting technology evaluation, prototype testing, performance analysis, and validation, with exposure to X-ray, optics, electronics, software, and data analysis.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in STEM disciplines with strong fundamentals.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and communicate clearly.
• Basic programming experience in Python, MATLAB, C++, or similar language.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers with prototype and beta system testing activities, including calibration and data collection.
• Support analysis of measurement performance and identify trends through data analysis and visualization.
• Participate in system characterization and validation to verify performance against requirements.
• Contribute to hardware or software development projects under senior engineer guidance.
• Design and execute experiments, document results, and present findings to the team.
