Job summary

voestalpine Roll Forming Corporation is seeking a Process Engineer Technician to coordinate technical developments and support the production floor on the Shelbyville, KY manufacturing line. The role emphasizes hands-on tool and process optimization, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration on project handoffs.

The position requires strong troubleshooting, experience with roll forming and related tooling, and familiarity with CAD and internal manufacturing software.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent education is required.
• Five or more years’ experience in metal forming, roll forming, or equivalent, incl. roll forming operations, progressive stamping, welding or tool & die.
• Strong technical troubleshooting skills; experience with robotic welding machines and/or CNC programs.
• Computer/technical skills including working knowledge of CAD software, Microsoft Office products and internal manufacturing software.
• Must be a U.S. Person (ITAR/EAR requirements).
• Two or more years’ experience in tryout, R&D (preferred).
• Hands-on experience with lean manufacturing principles, PLCs and electrical controls/programming, PFMEA, SPC & GD&T, quality certification systems (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide process operations support with hands-on troubleshooting and development.
• Assist in process optimization.
• Analyze data to improve process tool and process quality.
• Performs process capability and uptime studies before handoff of project to manufacturing.
• Assist Maintenance Team on repeat machine problems.
• Implements CI/Cost reduction and safety projects.
• Researches and performs trials on supplies and consumables to improve cost or quality.
