Job summary

Westlake is seeking a Process Technician to support a 24/7 production facility. You will operate reactors, tanks, boilers, and related utility systems under the direction of a plant operator, and you will also move materials with forklift within the plant.

You must be able to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends, holidays and overtime, and you will document process parameters, log conditions, and participate in safety and continual improvement programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be able to use a computer to send/read email, complete computer-based training, and operate the DCS.
• Must be willing and able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary, and to work overtime.

Responsibilities

• Operate process equipment under the direction and guidance of a plant operator (reactors, storage tanks, boilers, oil heaters, cooling water systems, wastewater treatment).
• Move materials within the plant using forklift and yard tractor.
• Document parameters and log operating conditions in batch documentation.
• Create maintenance equipment repair requests and troubleshoot basic operational problems.
• Ensure materials are tracked and logged to maintain proper plant inventories and operate the DCS.
