Job summary

Qualdoc is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to support power distribution and protection equipment. The role emphasizes electrical design, component selection, testing, certification, and continuous improvement across products.

Responsibilities include designing switchgear, selecting components, documenting BOMs and schematics, and integrating third-party devices. Strong focus on collaboration, safety standards, and hands-on troubleshooting.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) required.
Experience with AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
Experience designing power distribution solutions (PDU, STS, RPP, switchboards).

Responsibilities

Design electrical systems at the product level, including component selection and interconnection hardware.
Apply knowledge of analog and digital circuit design, magnetics and thermal engineering.
Develop specifications for power protection systems and switchboards.
Create and maintain BOMs and schematics and documentation.
Support qualification and integration of third-party devices into power equipment.
Participate in hardware design reviews for robustness and performance.
Provide sustaining engineering support for new and legacy systems.
Troubleshoot electrical systems and subsystems hands-on.
Assist with safety certifications (UL/IEC standards).
