Job summary

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT in the United States represents a progressive pork processing company seeking an experienced Operations Plant Manager to oversee the daily operations, performance, and profitability of its slaughter and processing facility in Iowa.

This hands-on leadership role directs production, staffing, maintenance, food safety, quality assurance, employee safety, carcass yields, and financial performance, while partnering with senior management to meet KPIs and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Previous management experience in a pork slaughter or pork processing facility.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Strong knowledge of pork slaughter operations, carcass handling, production flow, and yield management.
• Experience leading supervisors, department managers, and production teams.
• Knowledge of USDA/FSIS regulations, HACCP, SSOP, GMP, food safety, sanitation, and animal welfare requirements.
• Experience managing plant budgets, production costs, and P&L performance.
• Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations, performance, and profitability of slaughter and processing facility.
• Direct production, staffing, maintenance, food safety, quality assurance, employee safety.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and monitor key performance indicators.
• Work closely with senior management to achieve operational and financial objectives.
