Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a versatile Utility Person to support plant operations across housekeeping, maintenance, production, and equipment operation in our Texas plant. You will monitor conditions, grease and lubricate equipment, and maintain cleanliness to ensure safe, efficient performance.

The role offers hands-on work, teamwork, and a focus on safety, with opportunities to operate mobile equipment and participate in day-to-day operational tasks.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year equipment operation, plant operation, or maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to learn quickly and follow directions.
• Must be able to read gauges/dials and make competent decisions.
• Dependable and self-motivated in a fast-paced environment.
• Willing to work irregular shifts, days, nights and weekends as needed.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Pro-active in safety and works well in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in production, quality control, loading and shipping.
• Plant cleanup and lubrication.
• Assist with preventive and routine maintenance on mobile and plant equipment.
• Cross-train in all plant areas.
• Operate plant equipment such as Bobcat, Kubota, RTV, etc.
• Perform daily pre/post-shift inspections and maintain maintenance log.
• Follow safety rules and company policies.
• Maintain good housekeeping in areas of responsibility.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
