Job summary

Medix is seeking an experienced OR Nurse Manager to lead the Operating Room and perioperative services in Torrance, CA. This position combines hands-on clinical leadership with strong operational oversight, demanding active presence in the OR and continuous collaboration with nurses, surgical techs, and staff.

You will oversee staffing, scheduling, patient safety, and quality initiatives while guiding service-line growth and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing.
• BSN required; master's preferred for leadership roles.
• 5+ years of OR leadership experience highly preferred.
• Experience managing OR nurses, surgical techs and perioperative staff.
• Strong staffing, scheduling, performance management and daily OR operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Operating Room and perioperative services.
• Provide hands-on leadership with rounding, room visits, and direct caregiver interaction.
• Lead staffing and scheduling for OR, Sterile Processing, and related teams.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards and patient safety.
• Support service‑line growth and capital equipment/budget planning.
• Participate in recruitment, onboarding, development and performance evaluations.
