Job summary

ABF Freight® is hiring a Supervisor, Operations I to oversee daily Service Center operations. You will supervise staff, coordinate loading/unloading, and ensure adherence to procedures and safety standards.

A hands-on leader will guide teams across shifts, balancing workloads and maintaining productivity in varied weather and dock conditions. The role emphasizes strong communication, conflict resolution, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED preferred.
• Bachelor's degree may substitute with experience.
• Strong communication and leadership skills required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and control resources for loading/unloading safely and efficiently.
• Communicate assignments and monitor performance across staff.
• Maintain load plans and balance for safe vehicle operation.
• Assign tasks per unloading/loading schedules; provide training and feedback.
• Foster safe practices and relations with business partners to meet service standards.
