Job summary

Sibanye-Stillwater in Fairless Hills, PA is seeking a Unit Manager, MRD – Mechanical Reduction to lead mechanical reduction and processing operations. You will guide daily production, ensure safety, and drive continuous improvement across the site.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and 5+ years in mechanical processing or related industrial settings, with proven leadership and strong problem-solving skills. On-site, Monday–Friday, with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field — or equivalent relevant experience.
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical processing, metals recycling, manufacturing, or a similar industrial environment.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience in production operations.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical equipment, material handling systems, and industrial processes.
• Experience improving operational performance and equipment reliability.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a hands‑on plant environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily mechanical reduction, material preparation, and processing operations.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and development to production teams and supervisors.
• Champion a strong, proactive safety culture.
• Monitor and improve throughput, equipment performance, and operational efficiency.
• Coordinate maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment reliability improvements.
• Identify opportunities to improve production flow and mechanical processing performance.
• Track production results, operational records, and key performance metrics.
• Partner with Maintenance, Safety, Environmental, and Operations teams to achieve plant goals.
• Evaluate equipment and processes to drive continuous improvement.
• Build accountability and support a reliable, efficient, and high-performing operation.
