Job summary

J.W. Speaker is seeking Mechanical Engineering interns for our fast-paced, state-of-the-art environment in Wisconsin.

You will work on real-world projects in the Mechanical Test Lab, gaining hands-on experience from day one rather than sitting at a desk. Responsibilities include product testing, documenting and standardizing processes, updating testing equipment (spray chamber, wind tunnel, dust chamber, etc.), and minor CAD work for concept designs.

Qualifications

• Must be working towards a mechanical engineering or industrial engineering degree at an accredited college or university.
• Willing to work year‑round (8-12 hours per week during school year, then full‑time during breaks and summer when possible)
• Prefer Sophomore status, but all school years are encouraged to apply!

Responsibilities

• Support Mechanical Test Lab with testing and documentation.
• Update and calibrate testing equipment (spray chamber, wind tunnel, dust chamber, etc.).
• Perform minor CAD work for concept designs.
