Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline or expected graduation.
• Experience with SolidWorks and AutoCAD is preferred but not required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on design environment with manufacturing exposure.
• Interest in mechanical design, fabrication, welding, manufacturing and testing.
• Office and manufacturing setting experience recommended.
• Effective communication with engineers, welders, fabricators and machinists.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; detail-oriented.
• Desire to grow professionally and take on responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Create and revise 3D models and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Produce detailed drawings, assemblies, and bills of materials.
• Develop drawing details, dimensions, tolerances, and manufacturing requirements.
• Design, build, and evaluate mechanical prototypes.
• Perform product testing and document test procedures, observations, and results.
• Work with fabrication, machining, welding, and assembly teams to ensure manufacturability.
• Support prototype builds and resolve fit, function, and manufacturing issues.
• Process ECOs/ECRs and maintain engineering documentation.
• Assist with troubleshooting manufacturing or product-performance issues.
• Participate in design reviews and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Work with engineering, quality, operations, purchasing, and production personnel.
• Help take products from initial concept through prototype, testing, manufacturing and release.
