Links Recruiting is partnering with a multidisciplinary architecture and engineering firm to place a hands-on Mechanical Engineer in Shelton, CT. The role supports HVAC and plumbing design, calculations, equipment selection, and production-level drafting in Revit/AutoCAD.

This production-focused position invites candidates with 7+ years of relevant experience, EIT, and potential PE licensure. The engineer will collaborate across disciplines and may mentor junior staff as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
• EIT status; PE licensure preferred for more experienced candidates.
• About 7+ years of relevant experience in building-systems design.
• Hands-on, production-oriented role with strong technical deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical engineering calculations for HVAC, heating/cooling, ventilation, plumbing.
• Develop and coordinate Revit models, drawings, construction documents, specs, equipment selections, and reports.
• Coordinate mechanical and plumbing systems with architectural, structural, electrical, fire-protection, and other disciplines.
• Support projects through design and construction, including site visits, construction administration, and submittal/RFI review.
• Manage assigned deliverables and deadlines, flag issues early.
• Collaborate with project teams, clients, architects, engineers, contractors, and vendors; mentor junior staff for senior candidates.
