Job summary

Proven Process Group is hiring a Mechanical Engineer in Wisconsin to own projects from design to failure analysis. You will work closely with technicians on the shop floor and in SolidWorks, ensuring designs perform in real-world conditions.

Ideal candidates have 4-10 years of mechanical engineering experience in an industrial setting and a strong grasp of gearing, bearings, torque, and leverage. Proactive, hands-on problem-solvers preferred.

Qualifications

• 4-10 years of mechanical engineering experience in an industrial setting.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and PDM.
• Solid understanding of gearing, bearings, torque and leverage.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze mechanical components, focusing on gearing, bearings, and leverage systems.
• Work in SolidWorks and PDM on drawings from simple parts to complex castings and housings.
• Perform failure mode analysis on equipment in the field.
• Use 3D scanning to reverse engineer components, including gearbox models.
• Split time between engineering and the shop floor, collaborating with technicians on real-world performance.
• Manage a rotating project load of about 5 projects per month.
