Riley Industrial Services in Odessa, TX is seeking a Mechanic Helper to assist with inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing company vehicles and heavy equipment. You will work closely with mechanics to keep a safe, organized shop and learn preventive maintenance procedures.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and the ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen; prior mechanical experience or training is preferred.

Competenze

• Previous mechanical experience, vocational training, or knowledge of vehicle and equipment maintenance preferred.

Mansioni

• Assist mechanics with the inspection, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of vehicles and heavy equipment.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance, including oil changes, lubrication, fluid checks, tire rotations, and filter replacements.
• Assist in troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine-related issues.
• Operate diagnostic equipment under the supervision of experienced mechanics.
• Conduct equipment and vehicle inspections to identify potential maintenance concerns.
• Perform basic repairs and replacement of worn or damaged parts.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records as directed.
• Clean and organize the shop, work areas, tools, and equipment.
• Safely operate vehicles and equipment for testing and positioning purposes.

• Work closely with mechanics and other team members to ensure equipment is maintained and repairs are completed efficiently.
