Job summary

AST SpaceMobile is seeking two hands-on Manufacturing Test & Debug Engineers / Technicians to support the setup, ramp-up, and ongoing operation of our electronics manufacturing and test line Midband in Austin, Texas. You will keep the line running, rapidly identify and resolve issues, and maintain high yields.

The role focuses on troubleshooting at PCB/PCBA, component, fixture, cabling, and test-station levels, with a career path from NPI ramp to stable high-volume production.

Qualifications

• Hands-on electronics troubleshooting experience.
• Experience in electronic manufacturing or test environments.

Responsibilities

• Install, setup, and operate manufacturing and test stations.
• Provide hands-on engineering support on the production floor.
• Troubleshoot and debug RF and mixed-signal boards.
• Diagnose failures at board, component, and fixture levels.
• Read schematics and test procedures to guide fault isolation.
• Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain test fixtures and calibration of equipment.
• Support PM and ensure high line readiness.
• Drive yield improvements and line throughput improvements.
• Document failures and lessons learned.
