Job summary

Quality Electrodynamics (QED) in Mayfield Village, OH, seeks an Assembly Technician to build and inspect electronic and mechanical assemblies by following work instructions and using hand tools.

You will set up production equipment and automated machines, read bills of material, perform QC inspections, train coworkers, and contribute to a culture of teamwork that improves product flow and quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent) required.
• Experience operating automated manufacturing equipment preferred.
• SMT, 3D printing and high-speed wire cutting experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up production equipment and machinery.
• Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot when problems arise.
• Prepare and replace consumables and parts as needed.
• Read and interpret bills of material and match components.
• Perform assembly operations per procedures and standards.
• Conduct QC inspections and document results.
• Train colleagues on assemblies and safety procedures.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of work areas.
• Support efficiency and quality improvements with NCRs/QFs.
• Work at multiple stations and perform basic rework.
