Job summary

American Recruiters is seeking a Growth‑Oriented operations leader for an OEM sheet metal fabrication and electromechanical assembly company. This role sits on the strategic management team and is responsible for improving assembly and fabrication processes while maintaining on‑schedule production.

You will oversee safety, Lean protocols, and production efficiency, leading three direct reports and coordinating with stainless steel fabrication, welding, and injection molding teams.

Qualifications

• ~10 years’ experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field (a plus).
• Understanding of Fabrication machines and tools.
• Able to read blueprints.
• Very strong communication and motivation skills.
• Leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Lean Manufacturing Skills.

Responsibilities

• Own production schedules, safety, efficiency, and Lean protocols.

Job description

Growth-Oriented Company: OEM, sheet metal fabrication, and electromechanical assembly. Be part of the strategic Management team. Responsible for improving the assembly and fabrication processes.

This role is accountable for all production schedules, safety, efficiency, and Lean protocols. Leading three direct reports (Electrical Leader, Mechanical Leader, and Fabrication Leader)

They lead stainless steel fabrication, welding, and Plastic Injection Molding team members.

Knows strategic planning. How to use resources. Keeps production on schedule. Estimates cost. Select equipment. Safety. Their goal is to double sales in 5 years. About 70-75 team members, first shift.

The goal is to increase production efficiencies, increase profit margins, reduce costs and/or redundancies. They are about a $28MM company. Base salary dependent on experience, salary plus incentives meeting KPI’s.

CNC Laser cutter, Turret/Brake Presses, Welding, and injection molding; no CNC Milling machines. Materials/Parts: 304 Stainless steel, cartridge heaters, pumps, embedded microcontrollers, sensors, solenoids, HMI LCDs. Etc. .

Qualifications and Education Requirements: ~10 years’ experience. Have a Bachelor's degree in a related field (a plus). Understanding of Fabrication machines and tools. Able to read blueprints
