Job summary

Leader Tech in Tampa, FL seeks a hands-on Manufacturing Supervisor to lead a 20–25 person team in EMI shielding product manufacturing within an AS9100/ISO environment. The role emphasizes daily production execution, safety, quality and continuous improvement while maintaining precise production documentation.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in manufacturing with supervisory experience, familiarity with process operations and ERP systems, and the ability to interpret drawings and production data

Qualifications

• Five or more years of manufacturing experience, including at least three years of direct production supervisory experience.
• A manufacturing team of 15+ employees experience preferred.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, medical, or other regulated manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience with forming, stamping, press operations, metal fabrication, machining, assembly, or similar production operations preferred.
• Working knowledge of production scheduling, controlled documentation, product traceability, nonconforming material, root‑cause analysis, corrective action, and continuous improvement methods.
• Ability to interpret drawings, work instructions, routers, bills of material, specifications, production data, and performance metrics.
• ERP experience required; SYSPRO and Microsoft Excel preferred.

Responsibilities

• Translate the production schedule into clear daily priorities for staffing, equipment, tooling, materials and workflow.
• Monitor scheduled starts, production output, labor efficiency, WIP, scrap, rework, downtime, attendance and KPIs.
• Identify constraints early, implement recovery plans and corrective actions.
• Lead and develop a 20–25 person manufacturing team and maintain accountability for performance, quality, safety and conduct.
• Provide hands-on production support when trained and authorized.
• Ensure employees follow drawings, routers, BOMs, work instructions and inspection requirements.
• Maintain accurate records for labor, production, scrap, material traceability, training and quality.
• Promote safety, machine guarding, LOTO, PPE, housekeeping and safe handling practices.
• Coordinate with Production Control, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Tooling, HR and others to resolve issues.
• Drive continuous improvement to strengthen safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency.
• Manage overtime and support staffing decisions as needed.
