Job summary

Ag Express Electronics, Inc. is seeking a motivated college student for a paid summer internship at our Des Moines, IA location. You will work onsite Monday–Friday, alongside manufacturing and repair teams, learning through observation, hands-on practice, and documentation.

Gain experience in electronics repair, assembly, and process documentation while contributing to cross-functional projects and process improvements for the agricultural industry.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a college sophomore, junior, or senior in agriculture, agricultural systems technology, engineering technology, industrial technology, manufacturing, electronics, operations, drafting and design, or a related field.
• Willing and able to learn through hands-on participation in active manufacturing and repair work areas.
• Self-motivated, dependable, curious, and prepared to take ownership of assigned projects.
• Comfortable building relationships with employees, asking thoughtful questions, and learning from practical knowledge.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to organize and communicate information clearly.
• Receptive to coaching and able to incorporate feedback.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside employees to understand daily operations and workflows.
• Observe and document tools, equipment, parts, procedures, and steps.
• Develop practical process documentation and work instructions.
• Gather information via interviews, observation, and hands-on learning.
• Identify opportunities to improve documentation and workflows.
• Share updates with COO, management, and teams.
• Incorporate feedback and deliver project results on time.
