Elbit America in Roanoke, VA is seeking an Electronics Maintenance Technician to support night vision product manufacturing and testing. You will maintain, repair, and provide technical support for process instrumentation and control systems, applying diagnostics across analog, digital, RF, and optical domains.

You should have an associate degree in electronics, strong schematic reading, and proven troubleshooting skills; ability to read drawings and manuals; and the security clearance

Formación

• Associate's degree or its equivalent in troubleshooting electronic equipment.
• Thorough knowledge of electronic circuitry, schematics, troubleshooting, and safety practices.
• Good mechanical and strong electrical aptitude, strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledgeable of a wide array of industrial technologies, including electronics, mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, vacuum technology, and control systems.
• Able to read and interpret schematics, drawings, and technical manuals
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance

Responsabilidades

• PLC and HMI programming and troubleshooting
• Industrial computer and various ISA/PCI bus troubleshooting and repair
• Troubleshoot to the component level for the full spectrum of analog, digital, RF, optical, and industrial control systems. Must be able to make component-level repairs to address non-operational control systems.
• Utilize test equipment (DVM, Oscilloscopes, Frequency Generator, computer-based, etc.) appropriate to the testing objective
• Installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting skills for manufacturing, product quality assurance, and facilities equipment systems
• Perform complete electrical and mechanical preventative maintenance services
• Monitor inventory of equipment spare parts; be able to effectively locate replacement parts from a variety of web-based sources.
• Use various hand and power tools, multi-meters, leak detectors, electronic or computerized test systems, etc.
