Job summary

Castelion Corporation in Torrance, CA is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to design, build, operate, and maintain equipment used on the production floor for ceramic matrix composites. This role emphasizes practical manufacturing solutions, reliability, and hands-on engineering on live production lines.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in aerospace manufacturing, familiarity with CAD and fabrication, and a strong mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot varied equipment and processes on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical/related engineering required
• 3+ years in manufacturing role with aerospace production equipment
• Hands-on experience designing, building, testing, or troubleshooting hardware

Responsibilities

• Design, build, assemble, and test manufacturing equipment, tooling, fixtures, and support systems for CMC products
• Lead equipment development projects from concept to implementation with requirements, fabrication, and testing
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, thermal, and process equipment to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
• Create engineering drawings, layouts, BOMs, and technical documentation
• Develop work instructions and SOPs, and contribute to process improvements
