Job summary

NWU in Blacksburg, VA is seeking a summer engineering intern to support day-to-day activities in the engineering and manufacturing environment. You will conduct research, analysis, and data reviews to support decisions and develop reports and process documentation.

The role targets BS students in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering with advanced Excel and strong MS Office skills. Internship is full-time, 11–12 weeks, 40 hours/week at the Magnolia facility, with hands-on project

Qualifications

Pursuing or holding a BS in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
Proficient in MS Excel and overall MS Office.
Detail oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Support day-to-day activities and key projects within the engineering and manufacturing environment.
Conduct research, analysis, or data review to support business decisions.
Assist in developing reports, presentations, or process documentation.
Collaborate with team members and stakeholders across the organization.
Identify opportunities for process improvement or efficiency gains.
Present project findings, recommendations, or results.
