Job summary

Antares in Torrance, CA is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Intern to join the team that builds repeatable, safe hardware for aerospace-scale energy solutions. You will help create and improve manufacturing work instructions and participate in test builds from day one.

You''ll work with design, test, quality, and operations teams in a fast-paced environment, gaining hands-on experience in manufacturing and engineering while contributing to real programs and learn-by-doing culture.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering or another relevant engineering or technical discipline.
• Hands-on experience through coursework, a student design team, research, or projects.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly in writing and verbally.
• Ability to collaborate in a hands-on manufacturing and test environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, revise, and release clear manufacturing work instructions for development and test hardware.
• Support planning and execution of test builds, including materials, tools, sequencing, and documentation.
• Create concepts of operations (CONOPS) defining build objectives, roles, workflow, safety considerations, and expected outcomes.
• Lead portions of test and development builds under guidance of manufacturing engineers.
• Perform hands-on assembly, inspection, and test support for the assigned hardware.
• Capture build data, deviations, issues, and lessons learned; translate findings into improved instructions and processes.
• Collaborate with design, test, quality, and operations to resolve build issues and incorporate manufacturability feedback.
• Maintain an organized, safe, and quality-focused work environment while following applicable procedures and controls.
