Job summary

VanTran Transformers is seeking an entry-level Maintenance Technician Apprentice to support the maintenance team in our manufacturing facility. Under guidance, you will assist with basic repairs, preventive maintenance, and equipment installation, building foundational skills for advancement to a full Maintenance Technician role.

The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and hands‑on training. You will work on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, use CMMS for work orders, and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 4 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Welding, fabrication, or PLC experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production machines, tools, and facility systems.
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
• Install new or replacement machinery and equipment per specifications.
• Respond to breakdowns to minimize production interruptions.
• Document maintenance activities in CMMS and track work orders.
• Coordinate with Production and Engineering teams to schedule maintenance with minimal disruption.
• Support predictive maintenance programs and safety initiatives.
