Appleby Apartments in New Castle, Delaware, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead daily maintenance operations while actively performing tasks. You will manage a team, schedule preventive maintenance, and uphold safety and quality standards across the property.

The ideal candidate has strong HVAC, electrical, and plumbing skills, EPA/CFC certification, and a proven ability to work with vendors and residents. This is a hands-on leadership role with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Full‑time maintenance experience or formal training in residential maintenance.
• EPA/CFC Certification Levels I and II required.
• Knowledge of handling, storage, and disposal of chemicals and hazardous materials.
• Minimum of 2 years of maintenance supervisory experience or leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Ensure daily maintenance and preventive maintenance across the property.
• Oversee and participate in maintenance operations within budget guidelines.
• Supervise, train, and motivate maintenance staff to deliver high-quality workmanship.
• Schedule and complete resident service requests and preventive maintenance work orders.
• Coordinate with the Property Manager on inspections and regulatory compliance.
• Manage inventory, vendors, and outside contractors.
