Job summary

American Fan, a manufacturer of air movement equipment, is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead day-to-day maintenance on the shop floor. You will own preventive maintenance, repairs, work orders, and vendor coordination, while serving as the primary maintenance contact for production.

The ideal candidate has hands-on leadership, strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, and a proven track record of safety, reliability, and continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years in industrial or facility maintenance, with lead/supervisor experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to read manuals, schematics, and work instructions.
• Experience with ERP systems on the shop floor and maintenance planning.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on production equipment as a working supervisor
• Lead and coordinate the maintenance team on a daily basis
• Prioritize and manage work orders and maintenance backlog
• Align maintenance with production plans and safety requirements
• Coordinate vendors and contractors on-site, ensuring safety standards
• Maintain PM schedules and CMMS data for planning
• Support improvements to maintenance procedures and equipment reliability
• Assist with hiring and training of maintenance staff
