Job summary

Unitex is seeking a full-time, hands-on Assistant Maintenance Manager to oversee a team of industrial mechanics and porters at our Linden, NJ laundry plant.

The role requires hands-on maintenance across electrical, pneumatic, steam and building systems, plus a minimum of five years’ industry experience and two years of supervisory work. You will supervise 3–6 mechanics and 5 porters, manage preventive maintenance, and ensure safety and quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience repairing industrial processing equipment.
• Minimum 2 years' supervisory experience.
• Experience with 480V high voltage electrical systems.
• Knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, steam, water, hydraulics and building systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee 3–6 mechanics and 5 porters.
• Maintain preventive maintenance programs.
• Assist in diagnostic troubleshooting of equipment.
• Monitor quality of repairs and adherence to safety programs.
• Oversee building and physical plant maintenance.
