Job summary

TCNH, a skilled nursing facility in Trenton, FL, is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Director to oversee the physical plant, ensuring safety, compliance, and a welcoming environment for residents.

You will lead a maintenance team, handle end-to-end facility operations, and coordinate with housekeeping and laundry staff. The role blends hands-on trades work with supervisory responsibilities to maintain high standards of care and safety throughout the building.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Hands-on experience across core building trades (plumbing, lighting, fixtures, flooring, drywall).
• Prior SNF maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience supervising or leading a maintenance team or shift.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all physical aspects of the building in safe, working order and ensure compliance with state/federal guidelines.
• Perform hands-on repairs across multiple trades (plumbing, lighting, fixtures, flooring, drywall).
• Supervise maintenance staff, assign daily tasks, and ensure quality workmanship.
• Create and manage schedules for housekeeping and laundry personnel.
• Order and track maintenance, housekeeping, and laundry supplies.
• Maintain accurate records of work orders and daily activities.
• Conduct fire, life safety drills and keep records per codes.
• Ensure safety practices and proper operation of equipment.
• Coordinate resident transportation to appointments as needed.
• Contribute to department policies and participate in committees and training.
