Indiana State Board of Accounts (SBOA) invites an Accounting Intern to participate in planning and conducting audits of local government agencies. You will assist in verifying compliance with state and federal laws and accounting principles under supervision.

The role is onsite in Daviess County and surrounding areas, with mentoring from an experienced Field Examiner or Field Supervisor. This seasonal internship begins with a starting wage of $20.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Assist in planning and conducting routine or special audits of local agencies and governmental units.
• Verify compliance with State, federal, and local laws, ordinances, rules, and regulations in terms of accounting principles and management practices.

Responsabilités

• Plan and conduct routine or special audits under guidance of senior staff.
• Assist in reporting findings and recommendations to improve financial accountability.
• Work onsite at engagement locations with an audit team and report to Field Examiner or Field Supervisor.
