The Indiana State Board of Accounts (SBOA) is seeking an Accounting Intern to support audit teams. You will apply professional accounting and auditing knowledge under the direction of an experienced examiner to assist in planning and conducting routine or special audits of local government units.

This seasonal, on-site internship in Delaware County offers a starting hourly rate of $20, with opportunity for commensurate pay based on education and experience.

Qualifications

• Able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and conducting routine or special audits of local agencies and governmental units.
• Verify compliance with state, federal, and local laws, ordinances, rules and regulations in terms of consistency with accounting principles.
• Report to advanced level Field Examiner or Field Supervisor.
