LegalSight is seeking a hands-on Linux Systems Administrator to own and optimize our Ubuntu-based infrastructure, including virtualization, cloud footprint, and network edge. You will read logs, write Bash/Python scripts, document configurations, and push toward automation and monitoring to keep systems secure and reliable.

In the first months you’ll own Linux and virtualization, migrate from SonicWall to OPNsense, and implement monitoring and backup processes.

Qualificações

• 3+ years of hands-on Linux administration in a production environment.
• Willingness to take ownership and follow through without being chased.
• Solid scripting for automation (Bash required, Python or similar strong plus).
• Working knowledge of virtualization: Proxmox is ideal, but KVM/hypervisor experience translates.
• Sound networking fundamentals: firewalls, VPNs, DNS, routing.

Responsabilidades

• Administer and maintain Linux servers (Ubuntu): provisioning, patching, hardening, storage, users/permissions, troubleshooting.
• Manage Proxmox virtualization: VMs and containers, resources, snapshots, backups, cluster health.
• Own the network edge and firewall: migrate from SonicWall to OPNsense, manage firewall rules, VPN, DNS, routing.
• Automate repetitive tasks with Bash/Python scripts and leverage AI tooling for scripting/automation.
• Set up and maintain monitoring, alerting, logging, and backups/restores.
• Support Docker container hosts, deployment targets, and databases used by engineers.
• Operate and maintain AWS footprint: EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC, with cost/security considerations.
• Respond to incidents, diagnose root causes, implement durable fixes.
• Document configurations and procedures for maintainability.
