Job summary

Okie Staffing is seeking an experienced Working Foreman to lead field crews on erosion control and sod installation projects in the Tulsa area. This hands-on leadership role requires you to direct daily operations while working alongside your team to ensure safe, efficient, high-quality results.

Projects include work with ODOT, Turnpike Authority, municipal, and commercial contractors, offering a fast-paced, high-visibility environment. Pay is $25.00–$30.00/hour (DOE) plus overtime.

Qualifications

• Experience leading crews in construction, landscaping, or erosion control.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Experience operating heavy equipment (skid steer, loader, etc.).
• Valid Driver’s License; Class A preferred, not required.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly.
• Reliable transportation to job sites.
• Willing to work overtime and weekends.
• Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug screenings.
• Must provide professional references.
• Background check including E-Verify required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct field crews daily while actively working alongside them.
• Manage daily production goals and job site priorities.
• Assign tasks and ensure efficient workflow on-site.
• Track employee hours and report daily production.
• Communicate professionally with contractors, inspectors, and supervisors.
• Ensure crews have proper tools, equipment, and PPE.
• Enforce safety standards and company policies.
• Identify and correct unsafe or inefficient work practices.
• Train, mentor, and coach new employees.
• Operate equipment such as skid steers, track loaders, front-end loaders, and brush hogs.
• Execute erosion control measures including sodding, silt fence, mulching, hydroseeding, and dike installations.
