Job summary

Formative 3D in Falls Church, VA, seeks a Lead Production Technician to mentor technicians and coordinate daily production. This hands-on leadership role focuses on advanced finishing, assembly, and training in a new production facility.

You will ensure safe, efficient workflow, uphold quality standards, and help implement improved post-processing techniques while working closely with the Post-Processing Manager.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with hand and power tools in a production setting.
• Ability to train and guide production technicians safely.
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
• Ability to follow and reinforce work instructions and SOPs.
• Flexibility to work weekends and adapt to a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead post-processing tasks on 3D-printed parts including drilling, sanding, and finishing.
• Provide hands-on training and technical guidance on tool use.
• Coordinate daily tasks with the Post-Processing Manager.
• Review completed work for quality and consistency with standards.
• Develop and improve work instructions and post-processing techniques.
• Troubleshoot issues to improve productivity and reduce rework.
• Support assembly, material handling, and organization of parts.
