Job summary

Nassau Financial Group offers a 10-week summer internship in our Hartford, CT office designed to prepare college students for careers in insurance and asset management through hands-on IT project management work.

You will work with experienced project managers to plan, coordinate, monitor, and report on IT and business projects, while gaining exposure to the SDLC, audit controls, and project closeout activities. This role emphasizes strong communication, teamwork, and detailed reporting.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree which aligns with Project Management.
• Demonstrate professional verbal and written communication skills when interacting with all levels of Nassau management and external partners and suppliers.
• Ability to collaborate effectively, working as a member of a team and independently.
• Self-starter that is not afraid to ask questions.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments/responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to develop detailed reports and/or statuses.
• Ability to assess situations, solve problems, and recommend next steps.
• Ability to use various applications/software (ie Microsoft Office Suite Apps).
• Knowledge of JIRA is preferred.
