Job summary

Agtegra Cooperative in Aberdeen, SD is offering an IT Infrastructure Intern position for the summer of 2027. You will gain hands-on experience by working with our Infrastructure and Security teams on real-world projects.

Responsibilities include researching emerging technologies, assessing hardware, assisting Helpdesk and system maintenance, and supporting security initiatives. Eligible students may also receive a scholarship upon completion of the internship.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of security principles, NIST framework, CIA Triad etc.
• Ability to follow detailed and high-level directions to accomplish an end goal.
• Understanding of endpoint security, intrusion detection, firewalls, content filtering, etc.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure: Conduct market research on cutting edge technology; Assess current hardware and make suggestions and updates as needed; Collaborate with Infrastructure team on ongoing projects; Assist in Helpdesk and hardware/software support and maintenance.
• Security: Monitor and investigate security alerts for remediation; Assist with security plans, disaster recovery, and incident response; Assist with security product assessments.
