Job summary

Unique Floor Supply in Brooklyn/Queens, NY, seeks a hands-on Purchasing & Inventory Manager to own purchasing and inventory across our locations. You will collaborate with warehouse, sales, and accounting to ensure the right products in the right quantities at the right time.

You will monitor stock, create and manage PO processes, and optimize costs while coordinating transfers and maintaining accurate records. The role emphasizes ownership, organization, and proactive problem-solving.

Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing, inventory management, distribution, or a related role.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication and vendor-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor inventory levels across our Brooklyn and Queens locations.
• Determine replenishment needs and maintain appropriate stock levels.
• Create, place, and follow up on purchase orders.
• Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, lead times, and deliveries.
• Coordinate incoming inventory and transfers between locations.
• Monitor open purchase orders and resolve delays or discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate product costs, vendor information, and purchasing records.
• Identify slow-moving, overstocked, and understocked products.
• Assist with inventory counts and investigate inventory discrepancies.
• Work closely with warehouse, sales, and accounting to keep inventory flowing efficiently.
• Help improve purchasing and inventory procedures as the company continues to grow.
