Job summary

Wellabe is seeking an Information Security Intern for a 10-week paid summer program in Des Moines (June 7–August 13, 2027). You'll learn by working on security projects, monitoring systems, and collaborating with our team.

This onsite internship includes mentorship, weekly learning sessions, and hands-on experience that complements classroom study and builds real-world information security skills. You will gain exposure to risk assessment, incident response, and security controls in business

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in IT or a related field.
• Information security or systems administration experience is a plus.
• Broad knowledge of how information systems operate is helpful.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Previous internship or related experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Focus on information technology administration and/or security.
• Maintains and operates information system security controls and countermeasures.
• Monitors and assists with the implementation of security controls and procedures in business processes related to use of information systems and assets.
• Monitors information systems for security incidents and vulnerabilities; reports on incidents, vulnerabilities, and trends.
