Job summary

Wellabe invites applications for an Information Security Summer Internship in Des Moines. This 10-week, paid program runs June 7 through August 13, 2027, and focuses on IT security and administration within a collaborative team.

You will learn from mentors, participate in security projects, and gain real-world experience complementing your coursework while developing communication and teamwork skills in a supportive Wellabe environment.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing degree in IT or related field.
• Information security or systems administration experience is a plus.
• Broad knowledge of how Information Systems operate is helpful.
• Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Previous internship or related experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Focus on Information Technology administration and/or security.
• Maintains and operates information system security controls and countermeasures.
• Monitors and assists with the implementation of security controls and procedures in business processes related to use of information systems and assets.
• Monitors information systems for security incidents and vulnerabilities; reports on incidents, vulnerabilities, and trends.
