Job summary

Metallized Carbon Corporation in Ossining, NY is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Supervisor to lead our on-site maintenance team. You will oversee 5–7 mechanics, guide troubleshooting efforts, and ensure safe, reliable operation of production equipment.

The role requires hands-on experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems, plus strong leadership and problem-solving skills. Prior supervision and preventive maintenance expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; technical or trade certification preferred.
• 7–10 years of industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• 3–5 years of supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of bearings, shafts, conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced troubleshooting and maintenance on hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
• Install, inspect, and upgrade production machinery.
• Read manuals and blueprints to diagnose repairs.
• Lead equipment rebuilds and overhauls.
• Conduct root cause analysis of recurring issues.
• Ensure safety regulations and company policies are followed.
• Document work in the CMMS.
• Collaborate with engineering and production to minimize downtime.
• Schedule and supervise daily activities of mechanics.
• Train and mentor junior mechanics.
• Respond to emergency maintenance and on-call requests.
