Job summary

Open Scientific seeks an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead a growing Yonkers, NY maintenance team. The role requires hands-on expertise in diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, supervising staff, and ensuring preventive maintenance across plant equipment.

Ideal candidates will have strong experience reading blueprints, implementing reliability programs, and coordinating with vendors for parts and services.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of work experience repairing industrial processing equipment in an industrial environment.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Minimum 2 years of maintenance management experience including planning, scheduling, budgeting, vendor management, and parts management.
• Certification applicable to reliability is preferred (CPMM, CMRP).

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses mechanical and electrical problems and determines corrective action.
• Inspects, operates, and tests machinery to diagnose malfunctions.
• Performs basic welding activities including MIG, TIG, ARC, and brazing.
• Supervises a minimum of two maintenance partners.
• Directs and assists other maintenance personnel with emergency repairs.
• Maintains staffing levels and participates in hiring processes.
• Oversees regulatory and environmental compliance.
