Job summary

TriHealth is seeking a Student Imaging Assistant (Imagining Technologist in Training) to support radiology teams at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati. You will assist with patient care, transport, scheduling, and infection prevention while gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced imaging environment.

Currently enrolled in an approved Allied Health program, you will work under supervision to learn imaging workflows, with a focus on patient safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an approved Allied Health program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• CPR certification required.
• Radiation Safety training completed or in progress.
• Up to 1 year of related imaging experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complies with infection prevention procedures and safety standards.
• Demonstrates flexibility and initiative for additional assignments.
• Supports department operations and equipment care, coordinating patient flow with technologists.
• Assists other team members when workload is light and adapts as needed.
• Works with patients and families to provide care, schedules appointments, and assists with patient observation and transport.
• Recognizes status changes and notifies appropriate personnel.
• Performs daily/monthly quality control procedures on equipment as required.
• Notifies Supervisor of any corrective actions needed.
